How to Draw Straight Lines in Procreate

Procreate provides diverse and versatile tools that allow users the flexibility to create original, dynamic art. A top feature in Procreate is the ability to create perfect circles and straight lines. To create straight lines in Procreate, you can refer to the video below or step by step instructions after.

How to Draw a Straight Line in Procreate

  1. Create a new canvas and select a new layer.

  2. Draw a line and at the end of the line, hold for 60 seconds.

  3. This will make your line straight.

Editing a Straight Line

Once you lift your stylus pen up, a pop-up Edit bar will appear in the top center of your canvas. You can edit the line by selecting Edit line and choose one of the blue circles at the end of the line. You can manipulate the length and rotation of the line.

When in Editing mode, you can also select the Down arrow to change it into another shape, with options such as Arc, Quadrilateral, or Ellipse.

One of the coolest things about this Procreate feature is that you can use any brush to make a straight line, such as a pencil brush, a watercolor brush, or an airbrush brush. This can allow you to create artwork from sketches to final versions using the straight line tool.

If you want to learn how to make additional shapes in Procreate, you can refer to the video below.
